Residential Tenancies Amendment Act 2016
As most of you are aware by now, In June 2016 the Residential Tenancies Amendment Act 2016 was passed with two main requirements relating to insulation.
- All new tenancy agreements from the 1st of July 2016 must include information regarding the current ceiling and underfloor insulation in the property.
- All rental properties must meet new insulation standards by July 2019.

As part of our service, We can provide you with an assessment and quote to do any installation that may be required.
- We will make contact and arrangements with tenants to assess the property. (We will explain to the tenant what we will be doing, and how long it will take). We will not talk to the tenant regarding the assessment itself and our findings.)
- We will email you our findings (If any work needs to be done, This will include a Quote with our recommendations)
- If there is sufficient insulation present we will provide you with a Statement of Insulation.
- If we install insulation, you will receive a Certificate of Completion and a Statement of Insulation that you can provide your tenants with.
We will do our best to provide you with an assessment within 7 business days of site visit or sooner.
