Expol Underfloor Insulation
Expol underfloor insulation is the perfect choice for existing homes. Expol underfloor insulation will stop heat coming in over summer and escaping in winter.
Placed snugly between the floor joists, polystyrene insulation is a great flooring insulation choice for polished floors in bungalows and villas. Save around 12% on your heating bills. As polystyrene insulation consists mainly of stabilised air, Expol has excellent thermal properties. Expol insulation is safe to install, non-allergenic and contains a flame retardant. Its thermal performance is not affected by ageing, and it contains no CFCs. The polystyrene panels are designed to be self-supporting and nylon fixings are available for loose panels and for high wind areas.

Koolfoam Underfloor Insulation
The team at Rodney Insulation pride themselves on giving their customers the best value for their money. So, after careful investigation, Koolfoam has been added to their range polystyrene insulation products.
Koolfoam underfloor polystyrene insulation is an approved product for the “Warm Up N.Z” EECA scheme. It has a high R Value and is a very affordable flooring insulation option when compared to similar insulation products.
Koolfoam is an expanded polystyrene product manufactured by Koolfoam Industries, a leader in New Zealand expanded polystyrene manufacturing since 1982. It comes in 60mm thick sheets with a product R value of R1.57. Koolfoam underfloor Insulation is easy to install, will not sag or rot and has a product durability of 50 years.

Koolfoam Black Pearl
Ceiling and wall insulation
As well as covering flooring insulation, Koolfoam also offers Black Pearl, a superior, rigid insulating material for ceilings, walls, concrete slabs and roof cavities. Black Pearl is a forward thinking solution for all applications where insulation is used in building and construction.
Black Pearl consists of expandable polystyrene (EPS) containing infrared absorbers. It is manufactured from Neopor, BASF’s innovative insulation solution.
It is comprised of many small pockets of air within a polymer matrix containing graphite. The graphite reflects radiant heat energy like a mirror, increasing the resistance to the flow of heat, or R-value.
With an average R value of 1.3 at 40 mm thickness, Koolfoam Black Pearl is about 30% more thermally efficient than other standard EPS products; the ideal solution for thermal performance for N.Z conditions.
